got hold of this from Si Arblaster. I think its being put out with Rock Sound mag.
anyway - im not a big fan when i first heard em but good lord these two tracks are actually fucking good. not a big fan of the singey parts but you could easily think they were a Road runner band. First track is better cos its slightly more brutal...but overall, i think this bands gona do well........Kerrang, Rock sound and floppy hair scene wise!!!!
worth a listen if you see it.

I got given a free sampler cd of this yesterday whilst i was walking through bath.
After reading this thread i thought i would listen to it and give it a fair shot, but i can honestly say i think its pretty bad. They are obviously all pretty competent musicians, but the songs seem so boring, and i don't really like the vocals.
Fair play to them if they do well, because thats obviously their main concern. On the back of the cd it wouldn't say "All songs arranged by "insert name of SEF guitarist here" and sharpend first if that wasnt what they were concerned about.
What bands that arnt trying to make money ever do that? In alot/most bands there is probably one or two main song writers but they do tn declare it on the cd, because its a joint effort as a band at the end of the day.

Yeah i think you're right re: thier motives. The whole sound is that 'roadrunner' KSE worship. They do it real well though, live too. Who gave you the CD sampler Joel? Pretty smart move giving them out in the town centre really. Jacked !

I dont know who it was that gave me the cd, but im guessing it was one of the band. Yeah its a pretty good idea to give stuff out to people.
This was a propperly pressed celepahne wrapped jobby though, id just burn some cds and print a piece of paper and put it in a plastic wallet myself.

i think i heard the new stuff of theirs and wasnt a fan! i remember not that long ago they had a completely different style and some pretty awesome riffs! but yeh i agree with what Joel said! some people just take themselves waaay too serious! giving cds out is a good idea though!

The guy who writes etc, basically is SEF. The rest are just session muscians, who seem to change all the time. Wasn't malpas in them at one point?
Anyway, they are just one of those bands that want to get big. I think its lame.

Yeah Malpass was their vocalist once, and Stu Eternal Lord/ ex Burning Skies played rums for them briefly.
See i say fair play if a band wants to get big, that Jay guy is an awesome musican and he wants to make a living off of it. Nothing wrong with that at all, making money from doing what you love is everyones dream.

WORD!!!! plus theyve got Si (ex bassist of Exit Wound) on guitar. awesome bloke. good luck to them i say, cos to be honest theres loads of uk wanna be Killswitch bands out there who just sound terrible and are trying too hard. where as SEF have done it well.

it people want the fame and glory then fair enough go for it! but paying shitloads of money to get a cd on rocksound is lame in my eyes. Nothing wrong if they wanna make money off being in a band! just totally opposite reasons to why i started playing in bands! i just cant understand it really.
