Hello dear friends. We are back again from a long, long hibernation. After a slow winter with some great warming highlights between the snow we are absolutely ready for the spring! We are getting ready for all the cool festivals and some awesome releases. Here is what to expect for this update:
- Website hacked and webstore offline
- PJ Pond signed to Shield Recordings
- Looking back on our Hibernation
- Up next
Website hacked and webstore offline
Some of you might have noticed that our website has been offline for a while and our webshop is still offline. Some dickhead thought it was funny to hack our website and mess up our webstore. With both our full time jobs we just haven’t had the time to get our website and -store in order for our next releases so we have to do it a bit more old fashioned. As you will read in this update you can order all our new and old releases by sending an e-mail to info@shieldrecordings.com with you name, address and order. We will send you an e-mail back with our bank account info for the payment. Records that we haven’t released ourselves are nowhere displayed right now so just come by the distro when you see us on a show and scavenge our record cases to see which cool new records we got.
We are working really hard on getting everything back in order so just keep checking our webstore at www.shieldrecordings.com/distro to see if it is online again!
PJ Pond just signed to Shield Recordings:
Yes! You are right we just signed a damn good singer-songwriter. We were just sick of all the noise and crappy punkrock we decided to just relax and release something completely different. No! That’s a joke! Watch our next releases and you know we still LOVE the Punkrock and the punkrock way of life/business. For us that also means stretching our boundaries and releasing great singer-songwriter music with a DYI/Punk attitude. PJ Bond perfectly fits this description. After touring extensively with his band Outsmarting Simon and acting out as a hired gun for different bands, he had no choice than to go make beautiful guitar songs on his own.
After releasing “ You didn’t know I was Alphabetical” LP/CD on Black Numbers we are now releasing “22 April: Vienna, Austria”! 7 great live songs recorded in Vienna on the 22nd of April in 2010. It will be an one sided 12 inch with a unique screen-print on the back. We got a limited 50 copies on heavy quality black vinyl and 200 copies on cool yellow/black vinyl. Get your pre order right know by sending us an e-mail at info@shieldrecordings.com. The records will be send out in the 3rd week of march.
PJ Bond is touring Europe as we speak. For tour dates and more info about PJ Bond and his music check out: pjbondmusic.tumblr.com/info
Looking back on our Hibernation:
For all those people who have been hibernating with us here is an update on what we have been doing from under our warm blankets next to the fireplace (like we have one! Haha). Even when we go slow we do some pretty cool stuff.
Off course we released the new Antillectual “Start from Scratch”. Which is doing really good, and so it should. If you haven’t listened to that record, shame on you and go and listen to it on Bandcamp: music.antillectual.com/album/start-from-scratch. If you would like to spend some money on it you could also send us an e-mail and we’ll check if we still got one of the 150 chrystal clear with blue and white mixed vinyl records or maybe one of the 350 mixed blue, white and black records left.

We also made another deal with After the Fall from Albany NY. We liked doing their 7” “Collar City” so much we decided we also should do their full length “Eradication”. As a special for this record we pressed 150 records on Yellow-Black vinyl (and 350 on good old black vinyl). These records are also still available, just send us an e-mail and we’ll make sure you’ll get your copy!
